Business opportunities Romania - United Kingdom

Last Thursday I had the amazing chance to participate to an event hosted by the Romanian Embassy in London. This event was dedicated to business opportunities between Romania and the UK. More specifically, 8 well established businesses in the County of Dolj, Romania came to London to talk about their story and their plans to expand on the UK market.

This was such a good opportunity to learn about the Dolj’s County recent business developments in many areas ranging from international airport traffic in the area, agricultural machinery, innovation and growth acceleration in IT, furniture production, luxury bathroom furniture production, aeronautical research and testing in Craiova (!), cookie and cracker production (yum!), security and monitoring systems, and Romanian traditional food - an amazing restaurant chain that I hope will open in London. What a large palette of businesses with an enormous potential of growth!

The presentations were followed by a networking event hosted by the lovely Embassy staff. We felt very much at ease and learned so much about each other while enjoying a coffee. There were about 60-80 people in the room eager to talk and share not only business cards, but smiles and good spirits. I got invited by a lovely couple to dinner to a restaurant where one of them was working. Romanian hospitaly as its best! I am so proud to be part of this amazing community. I hope to be able to help with their translation needs if the time comes. I am looking forward to many more business networking events to come!
